With the release of Blender 2.50 and later versions, we can now make realistic smokes. Smokes, clouds, and the like, are never really fun to make, in my opinion. Yeah sure, you can easily make them with particles but the complicating factor is that smokes are 'free-floating' and 'free-flying', for the lack of better terms.
I was really amazed when the first preview of smokes in Blender 3D came out. They were like... smokes.
